What if they forced you out of your homes, and off of your land? What if some believed they were chosen by God to have your land? What if they built a wall, so that you could not get to market the few crops you managed to grow – tomatoes, lettuce, olive oil? What if the richest nation in the world refused to intervene? Would you be angry? If no one listened, would you resist, and persist, and take action? What if that didn’t work, and your children were starving, and forced to live with a haphazard provision of basic utilities (water and electricity) and waste removal. What if there were no welfare programs to be a safety net? No unemployment checks? No hope.
