A magical Winter Wonderland will light up the Carleton Community Centre in west Saint John. The outdoor holiday light display will be turned on for the first time Friday night at dusk. Visitors will see a candy cane forest, giant nutcrackers and life-sized gingerbread men, among other things. Organizers say the goal is to brighten the neighbourhood and the spirits of those who live there. “Holiday lights have a special role to play in 2020, says Dustin Leclerc, executive director of the Carleton Community Centre, in a release. “They are a sign of celebration anyone can enjoy, reminding us that we are not alone.”
