Earlier in December, nine persons were injured in two separate accidents on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and the old Pune-Mumbai highway because of poor visibility. Three passengers in a car were injured after it rammed into a truck ahead of it at the Bhor gate on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Khopoli. While six persons in a minibus were hurt after the bus going towards Alibaug lost control and toppled near the same stretch.
