Courtesy: Instagram Besides being the daughter of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and former Bollywood actress Namrata Shirodkar, Sitara is the granddaughter of yesteryear actor Krishna Ghattamaneni. While this is evident to all, not many know that Namrata’s grandmother Meenakshi Shirodkar is a legendary actress in Marathi cinema. After marriage, the iconic personality made her debut with ‘Brahmachari’ in 1938 and featured in several Marathi and Hindi films. She also played a crucial role in Senior NTR’s 1952 satirical comedy ‘Pelli Chesi Choodu’. Recently, Sitara recreated the popular ‘Yamuna Jali Khelu Khel’ song crooned and performed by Meenakshi Shirodkar in ‘Brahmachari’. Slipping into their indoor swimming pool, the 8-year-old munchkin reprised some of the iconic dance moves of her great grandmother and shared the video on her Instagram handle with the caption “On the left is my great grandmother Ms. Meenakshi Shirodkar.. and here's my attempt at recreating one of her most iconic songs "Yamuna Jali Khelu Khel" ..
