Maine good Samaritan beaten, robbed after pulling over to help 'broken down' car WGME UP NEXT WEST BATH (WGME) -- The Midcoast is on high alert after a good Samaritan was beaten and robbed while trying to help who he thought was a woman in need. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday on Berry’s Mill Road in West Bath. The man pulled over to help a woman who claimed her SUV had broken down, but when he stopped to help, three men then jumped out of the car and beat him unconscious. The suspects then ran into the woods.
