Making trade work better for women after crises: A Q&A with UNCTAD deputy Pedro Manuel Moreno

From pandemics to recessions, crises hit men and women differently. And the effects, from cuts in public spending to job loss, tend to hit women harder. The first World Trade Congress on Gender, held from 5 to 7 December at the World Trade Organization (WTO), brought together researchers, policymakers and leaders from businesses and international organizations to examine how trade policy could make crisis response and recovery more inclusive.
