(WBTV) - A man accused of fatally stabbing his own mother was taken into custody after an hours-long standoff with law enforcement officials at a home in Catawba County Monday morning. The incident began around 9 a.m. at a home on 28th Street NE in Hickory. Officials say a man, identified as 29-year-old Billy Hahn Jr, was wanted in connection with the deadly stabbing of a woman that occurred on 16th Street Dr. NE, a few miles away from the 28th St. home, at around 2 a.m.
