William Santiago, 23, was charged with first-degree assault, criminal use of a weapon, illegal discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, carrying a pistol without a permit, interfering with police and reckless driving. During Santiago’s arraignment hearing on Monday Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Nicholas Bove urged Superior Court Judge Kevin Doyle to set a high bond, pointing out that Santiago has an extensive criminal history.
