Man allegedly struck by car after exiting bus

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist who allegedly struck a man after exiting a transit bus in Madison County is accused of negligence. 
Ralster Cole filed a complaint March 9 in the Madison County Circuit Court against George Singleton. 
Cole alleges in his suit that around 5 a.m. on Nov. 25, 2019, he was exiting a transit bus at the bus stop near Highway 111 and Gateway Commerce Center Drive. He claims that he looked both ways as he tried to cross Gateway Commerce Center Drive when Singleton, who was driving his vehicle and turning left from Highway111, struck him. 
As a result, Cole alleges he suffered "extensive bodily harm," including a fractured leg and injuries to his chest, pelvis, abdomen, buttocks, hip, legs, joints, muscles, nerves, tissues and membranes, as well as sprains, bruises and was left stiff, swollen, numb. He also claims he suffers from limited motion.
