Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell reports that on Apri 21 deputies were called to a home in Harriet after the sheriff’s office received a call concerning a trespasser.When Searcy County Deputies Troy Dye and Dakotah Springstead arrived at the home, they found 58-year-old Larry Moe Massey of Marshall sitting in the woods. Massey reportedly told deputies he was digging up ginseng in the woods, and was not on the homeowner’s property. Deputies told Massey that he actually was on the homeowner’s property and the homeowner had pictures of him on his property digging up ginseng. Massey was charged with theft of property and criminal trespass.
