Roberto Alcazar-Sanchez, 27, of Jackson, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado on Dec. 24 around 6 p.m. when he collided with a 2010 Mercedes Benz in Jackson Township as the other driver was making a left turn from Route 195 onto Cedar Swap Road, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has said. He then fled the scene, authorities said. Alcazar-Sanchez is charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license while being involved in a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, prosecutors said.
