9 & 10 News May 10, 2021 We now know the name of the man charged in a Grand Traverse County stabbing. The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office says Ian Appold forced his way into an apartment last Tuesday in Garfield Township and pointed a gun at his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend. Investigators believe he made the victim drink alcohol at gunpoint, then stabbed the victim multiple times before the victim was able to escape. Appold is now facing four charges, including assault with intent to murder and unlawful imprisonment.
