Man charged with setting vehicle fire that triggered explosion in Franklin County

Police in Franklin County say they arrested a man accused of setting fire to a vehicle, which triggered an explosion.Jerry Townsend is charged with arson, reckless endangerment, causing or risking a catastrophe and terroristic threats.Chambersburg police said the fire happened around 10:45 p.m. on West Queen Street. An oxygen tank inside the vehicle exploded, police said.Police said no one was hurt. A building next to the vehicle was damaged, police said.According to police, Townsend set the fire because of a domestic issue between him and a woman.
