Man found in road dies two weeks after crash FacebookTwitterEmail A 22-year-old man found lying in a Jacksonville road after an accident two weeks ago has died. Funeral arrangements for Richard Jackson Gregory, 22, of Jacksonville are pending. Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Family members confirmed Gregory died Monday at Memorial Medical Center. He had been transferred to the Springfield hospital shortly after police found him about 9:40 p.m. April 13 after they responded to a report about a crash in the 400 block of South East Street. Police said he was lying near a motorcycle, which indicated he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident. Subsequent reports have said the vehicle was a mini-bike, but police have not confirmed those.
