Man gets six months for stealing water pump from supermarket
A resident of Villa will be spending the next six months behind bars after he admitted to stealing a water pump valued at $2,500 from a supermarket.
On May 1, Eric Burton drove his car to the back of the Epicurean Supermarket on Friars Hill Road where their pump station is situated.
He opened his trunk and pulled out a cutlass which he then used to cut the pipes attached to the pump.
Burton placed the pump in the back of his car and drove away.
It wasn’t until a few days later that the supermarket’s maintenance manager noticed that the pump was missing.
