The man killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday has been identified as 62-year-old William W. Fisher, according to the Pequea Police Department.
Fisher, of Holtwood, around 4:30 p.m., struck the rear of a 2013 Toyota Highlander in the 3500 block of Route 272 in Pequea Township. He had to be extricated from his 2009 Chevy HHR by the fire company.
He and an 11-year-old were taken to a nearby hospital, police said. Fisher died at the hospital and the 11-year-old had non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The Highlander was driven by a 40-year-old from Lebanon and had three passengers, including the 11-year-old. The Highlander’s driver had pulled over onto a paved shoulder on the right side of the road. After the Highlander stopped, Fisher, struck it.
