Initially, TPD reported that the victim sustained life-threatening injuries. He later died, according to a TPD spokesperson.
The crash happened on 3400 block of South Monroe Street just after 9:30 p.m., said a TPD press release. Due to the crash, southbound lanes on Paul Russell Road and South Monroe Street were closed. All road closures have since ended.
The driver of the vehicle was present at the scene, said a TPD spokesperson.
