Share Updated: 6:01 PM CDT Apr 4, 2021 One person is dead and three first responders are hurt after a crash lead to a car fire in the Northland Sunday afternoon.KCPD says the crash happened on northbound I-29 near I-435, not far from Kansas City International Airport. Police say two officers suffered smoke inhalation while trying to rescue the driver from the burning car. A firefighter also had burns to their hands and arms. All three responders were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover. The driver's name has not been released. Investigators are looking into what caused the crash.
