Man pronounced dead after firefighters respond to incident in northwest Allen County
Allen County, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - Arcola Fire Chief Rex Rhodehamel confirms with Fort Wayne's NBC News that a man was pronounced dead after firefighters responded to a call about a person trapped under a tree Tuesday evening in northwest Allen County.
The incident happened in the 6400 Block of Washington Center Road just before 5:00 p.m. Chief Rhodehamel says they initially requested a medical helicopter, but the helicopter was called off after they determined the man had died.
Chief Rhodehamel says a family friend initially discovered the man.
