Man remanded in custody after being charged with threatening to kill after Christchurch firearms incident

Jarden acknowledged his family as he entered the courtroom including his father. He spoke once when asked by the judge how to say his name.
His lawyer, Christopher Persson, sought a remand without plea and applied for bail, which was opposed by police.
Hix declined bail, with Jarden to appear in court again on May 19.
Only limited reporting is allowed at bail hearings, meaning further details cannot be published.
Jarden was located by police shortly after 10pm on Thursday, around 10 hours after the incident first unfolded. It came after police issued a public appeal for sightings of the young man.
