MUZAFFARGARH: Six people were arrested for chopping off the nose and ears of a man for an honor-related issue in Mahmoodkot’s Basti Khandoya on Thursday morning. Muhammad Akram was busy in farm work when six people, led by Muhammad Farooq, took him to a sugarcane field where they cut off his nose and both ears and fled. Later, his brother-in-law spotted him in a pool of blood and alerted others. He was first shifted to the Qasba Gujrat Rural Health Centre to be shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for treatment. Mahmoodkot SHO Mohammad Saleem Langrial arrested Farooq and later on other suspects under a case registered against them under sections 324, 334, 336, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
