(Shutterstock) SMYRNA, GA — One man was shot and killed by police Thursday morning during a drug raid at Concord Chase Apartments in Smyrna, Georgia Bureau of Investigation officials said. Around 4:41 a.m., Marietta Cobb Smyrna Organized Crime Task Force agents and the Cobb County Sheriff's Office SWAT team executed a narcotics search warrant at the Smyrna apartment complex, according to a news release from the GBI. Upon entering the apartment, a SWAT team member fired his gun and the man inside the apartment was shot. He was transported to Wellstar Cobb Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
