MELAKA: A 33-year-old man admitted to breaking into his own family's home at Bukit Lintang here to settle his debts. Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Afzanizar Ahmad said police arrested the suspect and his 44-year-old girlfriend for the alleged robbery on Saturday (March 6) after the 28-year-old brother of the suspect lodged a report at Tiang Dua police station on the same day. He said the victim in his police report stated that his family members had lost RM6,000 in cash, 15 pieces of jewellery belonging to his father and sister, and a credit card in the break-in. "The arrest was made by my officers from Melaka Tengah police headquarters," ACP Afzanizar said on Sunday (March 7).
