Manassas Equity and Inclusion Task Force wants to hear from residents The Manassas City Council Equity and Inclusion Task Force will host a series of community listening sessions beginning March 1. All 31 members of the taskforce have completed diversity, equity, and inclusion training to assist them with overseeing the listening sessions, according to Oliver Allen, and Al Durr, two consultants hired to lead the task force. Both men updated the City Council at its annual retreat meeting held on Friday, February 19, at the Evergreen Inn near Haymarket. A total of 10 listening sessions are planned in March, April, and May. The five focus areas include criminal justice, education, healthcare, affordable housing, and employment.
