Mangaluru: Beef stall fire, attempt to kidnap cases â Accused arrested Sat, Jan 16 2021 02:23:06 PM Pics: Spoorthi Ullal Daijiworld Media Network â Mangaluru (DV) Mangaluru, Jan 16: Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar on Saturday January 16 informed that police have arrested an accused connection with burning of three beef stalls under Ullal police station limits at Valapete in Thokottu. The incident was reported on January 8. The arrested accused is identified as Nagaraj (39), residing near Vitobha Bhajana Mandir in Valapete. It is said that the accused had approached one of the beef stalls to purchase meat. As he demanded more meat, the shopkeeper allegedly insulted Nagaraj. Hence, feeling that he was insulted by the shopkeeper, he set on fire the three shops. At 11 pm, he had procured the kerosene and kept it near the railway station and in the night at around 1.30 pm, he had executed the crime.
