Manhattan Public Library cancels annual book sale The coronavirus pandemic has, yet again, thrown a wrench into the plans of an annual event in Manhattan. Maddy Ogle, Manhattan Public Library Development and Public Relations Coordinator, says the library has made the decision to cancel the annual book sale this year. Ogle tells KMAN that the book sale has been an important part of the library, and the decision to cancel it was tough. “This is an annual event that would raise money that would go back in to fund library programs and purchases,” Ogle says. “So, like new books, book giveaways, special events, and especially the summer reading program.”
