This Shrewsbury homeowner worked to remove a tree that blanket at his roof and took out a window and this towering white pine came down on a house in Hopkinton Home security camera shows the smoky aftermath of an apparent lightning strike. In Chelmsford, it looked like the lightning had hit her power lines to her house, sparks had fallen and the bushes on the right side of her house had caught on fire. The homeowners now staying with friends until an electrician can repair the damage. Her fire alarm started going off so she couldn't figure out why nothing was cooking. So she ran over and just saw the flames coming up the side of the house, so many branches blew down in Mirror Mac, you can barely make out this road in a neighborhood off route 1 10. But even with all the lightning it doesn't appear to have sparked any serious fires. and really thankful, I think for the rain, because, like I said, if it wasn't raining, I think this might have been a different outcome. And thankfully the damage has not been significant and no serious injuries have been reported.
