Community Briefs The Maynard Food Pantry and Open Table in Concord are among 33 local food pantries each receiving a $10,000 contribution from Middlesex Savings Bank to support their response to the pandemic. The grants are part of Middlesex Savings Bank fourth wave of distribution from its charitable foundation’s $1 million COVID-19 relief fund. To date, the Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation has distributed $760,000 from the relief fund to 73 nonprofits in the community. “The support that Middlesex provides for our community is appreciated,” said Joanne Barry, executive director of A Place To Turn, a Natick food pantry and one of the grant recipients. “Because of donors like Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation, we are able to continue to provide emergency food, diapers and personal care items to those in need while maintaining virus prevention practices of mask wearing, social distancing and sanitizing, and have moved our distribution into the fresh air of the outdoors.”
