MCMC finalising satellite broadband access plans in remote areas 15 Apr 2021 / 21:32 H. Bernama KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is finalising the tender process for satellite broadband access services in 839 remote locations nationwide. Minister of Communications and Multimedia Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah (pix), in a statement today, said the tender evaluation from eligible service provider licensees will begin as soon as applications close on April 15. “It is part of the government’s efforts to achieve development towards the country’s digital transformation through Jendela (National Digital Network Plan) and the MyDigital initiative which are core plans to realise the aspirations of a digital nation, in line with the Shared Prosperity Vision by 2030,“ he said in the statement.
