Madison County Transit is lowering its fares and eliminating local fare boundaries. As of May 9, all fixed-route trips within Madison County will be reduced to $1 per ride, and trips to St. Louis and St. Clair County will be $3. The cost of the various passes are also being reduced. These changes are reflective of a nationwide trend to make things easier for riders, as MCT Managing Director SJ Morrison tells The Big Z.
