Medicaid managed-care transition beneficiaries set to get en

Beneficiaries of the state’s Medicaid managed-care transition are being sent packets with enrollment information for an initiative that launches March 15.
The ambitious Medicaid transformation initiative remains on track for a July 1 debut, state health officials have told legislators.
Beneficiaries already can call the NC Medicaid Enrollment Call Center — (833) 870-5500 (TTY: (833) 870-5588 — to learn more about the process.
Beneficiaries can download a free beneficiary enrollment mobile app — titled NC Medicaid Managed Care — Google Play or the App Store.
Statewide enrollment is scheduled to end May 14. There is a 90-day “change period” that allows beneficiaries to switch PHPs.
Previous steps included an online tool that debuted Jan. 25 that lists providers and the four participating prepaid health plans (PHPs). The four health insurers submitted their tailored plans Feb. 2.
