Medical support from Canada KATHMANDU: The Government of Canada has delivered a consignment of critical medical supplies to help Nepal fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The support was provided in response to the request of the Government of Nepal. At a brief ceremony held at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday, the support materials were handed over to Chief Specialist at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Roshan Pokhrel by Honorary Consul of Canada in Kathmandu Dr. Buddha Basnyat, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The items that arrived in a charter flight sent by the Canadian Government included 27 ventilators and the related consumables, 15,048 face shields and 1890 disposable gowns.
