View Comments On Friday morning, Hope Church in Cordova was full of emotion. Grief and love mixed with hope — hope the man being laid to rest was waiting in the next life to welcome his friends and family someday with his favorite phrase: “motor up.” Family, friends, church family, grateful community members and fellow law enforcement officers and first responders joined together Friday for a final send-off for Memphis police officer Scotty Triplett who died in the line of duty last weekend. The 27-year MPD veteran was the husband of Fran Triplett and the father of Carson and Samantha. He was a lover of the outdoors, a painter, a public servant, a friend and someone with an insatiable love of life, said MPD officer Sloan Liddell.
