Mercy Health Seaway Run returns to in-person format after virtual event in 2020 Updated May 11, 2021; Posted May 11, 2021 Runners cross the finish line for the annual Mercy Health Seaway Run, in downtown Muskegon on Saturday, June 22, 2019. This year's event will return to a familiar in-person format after going virtual in 2020. Kayla Renie | MLive.com Facebook Share MUSKEGON, MI — Muskegon’s annual Mercy Health Seaway Run is poised to be held in-person this year after being shifted remotely in 2020. Set for June 26, the in-person return also will mark the community run’s 40th anniversary this year. Race Director Bryan Lambert said the announcement, made last week with the tentative plan to have in-person runners on the course through town, was as exciting to make as it was nerve-racking. However, being able to move back to an in-person race is a “much-welcome change” for many runners who are “Zoomed-out.”
