Clearly, the Triple-A East Northeast is using those same balls, because Syracuse and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre combined for 28 runs on 25 hits. Despite the high number of runs being scored, the game was actually a close one early on. In the fifth, the RailRiders scored three runs to tie things up at 5-5, but that tie would not last long as Syracuse plated four in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. Unfortunately for them, that lead would barely last, as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre put up an eight spot in the top of the sixth, giving them a commanding lead they would not relinquish.
