PEORIA — A Decatur man was accused Wednesday of first-degree murder in the North Peoria death of a tree-service owner. Michael S. Dyer, 58, was being held in the Macon County Jail on unrelated charges when he was implicated last week in the homicide of Jeffrey Blevins. The body of the 49-year-old Blevins was found Friday morning in a recreational vehicle parked in the 8300 block of North Knoxville Avenue in Peoria. Blevins resided in East Peoria, according to a Facebook profile. Peoria detectives interviewed Dyer in jail Friday in Decatur. Over the ensuing days, Peoria police gathered additional information and evidence, according to spokeswoman Amy Dotson.
