Midweek fire destroys Errol General Store January 28, 2021ERROL — Last Thursday, crews responded to the Errol General Store for a structure fire that unfortunately destroyed the building. A note from the Errol Firefighters Association read, "As most of you know by now the Town of Errol suffered a great loss early Thursday morning. The Errol General Store was lost in a spectacular fire. Apparatus was on scene within minutes with heavy fire throughout the building Hampered by sub-zero temps, live power lines in the road the fire department was able to protect adjacent homes suffering only minor damage. Structural collapse was encountered about about 15 minutes into the fire. Mutual aid departments responding to assist were Errol Rescue, Milan Fire, Colebrook Fire, Rangeley Maine, Newry Maine and 45th Parallel Ambulance. Other agencies involved NH Fire Marshal's Office NHSP Troop F, NH DOT, Eversource. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries."
