Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus 28 January 2021
On January 28, 2021 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, took part in the meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries of the Member States of the CIS under the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth, which was held in Minsk at the headquarters of the CIS Executive Committee. This year, which is marked by the 30th Anniversary of the creation of the CIS, the Republic of Belarus assumed the Presidency of the Commonwealth. In his statement, the head of the Foreign Ministry stressed that Belarus was at the origins of the CIS creation and was actively participating in the development of the Commonwealth. Currently, the CIS is a modern regional organization and a unique dialogue platform that takes into account the interests of the member states with no alternative to it.
