Posted: Tue 25th May 2021 Minister tells businesses to ‘get their skates on’ and apply for pandemic support – but does not say when further funding will emerge Welsh Government have said there ‘will be more to come’ on pandemic business support, but again have not said exactly when or what that will be. Yesterday we asked the new Health Minister Eluned Morgan MS about new support for businesses that have been affected by the pandemic and subsequent regulations , after a recent pot of £200m was previously announced – with £66m of support now being made open for applications. That support was billed as the first phase of a £200m package earmarked from the incoming Welsh Government to help businesses affected by the pandemic, however was in part announced just before the election with criticism that it was not given out during the ‘purdah’ pre election period.
