December 15, 2020 DANVILLE, Va. – Danville could see a mixed bag of precipitation Wednesday, including snow, sleet and freezing rain. The National Weather Service says Southside Virginia – including Pittsylvania, Henry and Patrick Counties – could get a wintry mix of precipitation Tuesday night and into the morning hours on Wednesday. The National Weather Service says there’s a 30% chance of snow and sleet overnight, with sleet and freezing rain likely Wednesday morning. The chance of mixed precipitation Wednesday is near 100%. A total sleet accumulation of less than one inch is possible in the Danville area. The precipitation is expected to change to rain by late afternoon.
