MLA Bernier appointed public accounts committee chair : vima

B.C. Liberal Party MLA for Peace River South, Mike Bernier
DAWSON CREEK, B.C – Peace River South MLA Mike Bernier has been appointed Chair for the Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts.
According to the B.C Liberal Caucus on Monday, Bernier will head the committee responsible for “scrutinizing the economy, effectiveness and efficiency of government organizations and auditing reports from the Auditor General”.
“British Columbians put their trust in the government to spend public funds wisely, which makes this committee’s responsibility to hold the government accountable for its spending absolutely critical to the functioning of our province,” said Bernier.
