NEW LEXINGTON â The second Perry County mobile food distribution in two months is set to take place Friday, Dec. 11, from 1-3 p.m. at the Perry County Fairgrounds located at 5445 state Route 37 in New Lexington. The Southeast Ohio Foodbank, a program of Hocking Athens Perry Community Action, will be hosting the Perry County event. Fresh produce and other food items will be distributed to families who reside in Perry County and are within 230 per cent of the federal poverty guidelines. The previous food distribution took place prior to Thanksgiving on November 20. The December food distribution does not require families to pre-register. However, those receiving food are required to bring a photo I.D. and a proof of residency no more than 60 days old. Two hundred families received food at the November distribution.
