Modest increase proposed for IL budget February 11, 2021MEREDITH The proposed Inter-Lakes School District budget would carry a small increase, accounting for both the pandemic and increases in the Retirement System. The Inter-Lakes School Board held a public hearing on the proposed 2021-2022 budget on Wednesday. No members of the public attended the physical meeting, but there was feedback from some residents viewing the meeting remotely. The proposed budget for 2021-2022 is $28,465,330, an increase of $213,448 or 76 cents from the previous year. Superintendent Mary Moriarty said one of the major factors in this year's budget is a significant increase in employer contributions to the NH Retirement System. Contributions for teachers alone went from 17.8 percent to 21.02 percent. Overall, the increases in retirement contributions led to a $438,744 increase in this coming budget.
