Monmouth car show returns downtown Friday Daily Review Atlas MONMOUTH — Though some things will be scaled down this year, the Maple City Street Machines car show is back. “Some things are scaled down,” said organizer Clifford Adams said. “We’ll have food vendors, but not as many.” After a pandemic cancellation in 2020, this year’s event stretching from Main Street and 4th Avenue to Main Street and Harlem Avenue is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 6. People can begin entering at 10 a.m., with the car show running from noon to 8 p.m. Expected highlights include a 1962 Cadillac Hearst on display, and a few original owners of vehicles from 1969 and 1970 that were purchased in the area, Adams said.
