Monroe reports 53 new COVID-19 cases in a week MONROE – Monroe officials reported 53 new COVID-19 cases over a seven-day period, which brings the total number of cases to 3,353, according to the Monroe Township Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The seven-day period was from Feb. 25 to March 3. The age range of the cases are from 6-89 – community-wide. There are a total of 67 cases reported from the New Jersey Training School for Boys. Forty-two additional positive community-wide cases were reported from August through February. The township has lost three more residents to COVID-19, which brings the total number of residents lost to 171, 88 in long-term care facilities and 83 community-wide.
