Published July 30, 2021, 5:01 PM (PIXABAY) The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon, locally called “habagat,” remains the prevailing weather system in the country in the next few days. In its weekly weather outlook issued on Friday, July 30, PAGASA said the southwest monsoon may bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro until Sunday, Aug. 1. The rest of the country can expect generally fair weather conditions apart from isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
