During the investigation witnesses observed the suspect enter and drive off in a black Hyundai sedan. At 1:02 P.M., Monterey Police Officers located a vehicle matching the Hyundai’s description. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and a chase ensued involving multiple agencies until the vehicle crashed near Santa Cruz and 30 year old Xavier Hardy Gonzalves of Oakland was taken into custody on multiple charges.
