THE CANADIAN PRESS/Paul Chiasson July 27, 2021 - 2:57 PM MONTREAL - An animal-rescue group is trying to save a population of white-tailed deer that has outgrown a Montreal-area park, but even the head of an veterinary ethics committee says doing anything other than euthanizing the animals is unrealistic. Sauvetage Animal Rescue director Ãric Dussault says every solution his organization has offered the City of Longueuil, Que., on Montreal's south shore, has been turned down. "It's David against Goliath," Dussault said in an interview Tuesday. "We are slowly heading toward a dead end."
