MOONEY, Joe : Acknowledgement notice MOONEY, Joe T., late of Lucan and Donegal and former CEO of Muscular Dystrophy Ireland - died September 15, 2015. Joe's wife Aisling, his mother Mai, brother Pascal, sisters Anna, Judy, Maire and his extended family wish to thank sincerely all those who sympathised and supported them in their recent sad loss. Thanks to all their families and friends who have helped them in so many ways. We, Joe's family, wish to express our appreciation to the following: Disability organisations across Ireland and England, HSE staff from all disciplines, all public representatives, Power Soccer Ireland, Fair City, the Gleneagle Hotel, the Donegal Association and MDI members and staff and staff from all universities for their kind letters and Mass cards. Many thanks to all those who travelled long distances, telephoned and prepared food and made donations to Muscular Dystrophy Ireland. Sincere gratitude to Beaumont Hospital for their care of Joe over the years, especially the Neurological Department (Professor Richard Costello, Professor Orla Hardiman and Dr. Ronan Walsh), the Dermatological and Physiotherapy Departments and Chapelizod Medical Centre. We wish to thank Fr. McLoughlin and Fr. Sweeney from Donegal for celebrating the Requiem Mass and also to the choir who sang so beautifully. We acknowledge the kind support of Fr. John Hassett from Lucan Parish and Fr. Colm Kenny from Ballymun Road Parish. Our thanks to Kirwan Funeral Directors and to Kelly Funeral Directors for conducting the funeral arrangements. Joe T. will be remembered at the annual Remembrance Mass on Friday, November 13 at 7pm in St. Patrick's Church, Newcastle Road, Lucan.
