Dawson Creek & District Hospital. (File) DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Health says additional COVID-19 cases have been identified concerning Dawson Creek Hospital’s second outbreak. As of April 23rd, four patients and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19 related to the outbreak. The outbreak, declared on Tuesday, originally identified two inpatients with confirmed cases. '),whenLoaded(initFlexitive); Northern Health Public Health is closely monitoring for additional cases while enhanced outbreak precautions are in place. The outbreak continues to be limited to the medical inpatient unit at this time. This is the second time a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the hospital. The previous outbreak was declared on February 8th and was declared over on March 12th. There were nine cases, including one death associated with the previous outbreak.
